Can anyone offer an opinion on SimFly - what it might be?

Very intriguing and mysterious, as I suppose these things are supposed to be.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

As long as it's actually something big and not like when LM and some devs spoke of something big and it turned out to be... I don't remember what it was.

Haha I remember this - and also have forgotten what the final offer was.. something like a jointly announced discount on a few things? That was a real fail.

It was the Flight Sim Association. Not a member yet?

Kind regards, Michael

Do you mean Matt Davies and PTA? If so that's not related to Simfly

SimFly is an organization similar to VATSIM or IVAO that tracks your flights and experience, awarding NFT tokens that can be exchanged for money. While the complete system is still in development, they upload weekly updates on their YouTube channel. Experience points are currently available to help you rank up your licenses, but the passenger (PAX) tokens for earning money are still being processed. As the development of SimFly progresses, the team is focusing on enhancing user engagement through various interactive features. Pilots will soon have the ability to participate in community events and challenges, which will not only boost their experience points but also foster a sense of camaraderie among users. These events will be designed to simulate real-world flying conditions, allowing pilots to hone their skills while competing for exclusive rewards.

At the very least a greater-fool one but ponzi seem likely.

More a traditional crypto scam than a Ponzi scheme (because they're not promising returns) but yeah.

That doesn't sound like Vatsim at all

Hello everyone, I have found this tread, and I saw some of you were curious about SimFly, and other have a bad opinion of it. I am one of the co-founders of SimFly, and I am happy to answer all your questions and clarify any doubts. I am even happy to organise an AMA with you all. Just let me know which is your preferred platform, I can even answer here all your questions, or post a video where I do answer them. Just let me know!

Roberto.
