October 22, 20223 yr Almost certainly answered somewhere, but I haven’t found it. Sometimes my logbook entries have “attachments” that include a GPX file, other tunes they don’t. I was trying to figure out the rhyme or reason there and found a mention of “flights must be finished for the track to be saved” … but what does “finished” actually mean? It doesn’t seem to be just landing … Thanks in advance for any help here …
October 23, 20223 yr Log book entries are created on takeoff and touchdown only. Do not quit LNM during flight. Otherwise you'll get one entry for takeoff and one for touchdown. There should always be an GPX attachment on a full entry or at least at the touchdown part. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
October 23, 20223 yr Author Any possibility that gliders using winch launch (either via Kinetic Assistant or built-in winching like the Discus) could be throwing things off? I’m sitting with a perfectly good track in LNM right now from a 3 hour flight yesterday and I don’t want to lose it. LNM was on the whole time, and I landed fine, though MSFS CTD’d about 5 minutes later. Still no files listed as “attached” to the most recent logbook entry.
October 23, 20223 yr Author ... actually, nevermind, I was wrong, there are files attached. I was confused a sort order issue in the Logbook view, due to two apparently incomplete flights from the same airport earlier in the day or yesterday. Anyway, it's all working well - thanks much for your help - and of course, THANK YOU so much for your incredible tool, @albar965!!!!
October 23, 20223 yr Glad you found it and thank you for the kind words!🙂 You also have the global track in LNM which is not related to logbook entries. This one can be saved as well from the file menu. Not sure about the winch start but as soon as something changes it on-ground state to flying state it will be recorded as a takeoff. No matter how. 🙃 Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
