Garmin 530 GPS Mode and HSI

Is it possible to slave the HSI to the 530 with the CDI in GPS mode? At present the "nav" flag is displayed but the HSI is not aligning to the GPS course.

I don't think the GNS 530 inherently drives the C414 HSI course indicator. However, see
