PMDG (again)

Every time I fly this 737-600, I find another state bug.

Look closely at the APP compared to the PFD, can you spot the issue?

Regardless of the state issue, it "fake" auto-landed pretty well as you can see below (only barely passing the aiming point, and hit dead center overall)

The "APP" what? If you're talking about the APP button on the MCP not being lit when LOC/GS is engaged, that's correct behavior per the real thing. If it's some other bug you're seeing then submit a ticket. Posting here won't do anything.

OK, so the APP turns itself automatically is what you are saying, never noticed that before...
It was on, as I had just hit it, I hit it really late.

No, no, you have to press the APP button.
But it won't lit. That's the right behavior.

Going from memory here, I think it lights up before capture and once the VOR/LOC, G/S lights up on the PFD then it goes out and will continue to follow the ILS.

Man, learning to fly these things in so complex! I love it! Learn something new everyday.

And this kind of peculiarities that "plague" the 7xx line, other than the 744, really make me love the Airbus Style...

the logic is that if it remains lit on the MCP, it can be cancelled in to another mode. If the lights go out (and the mode is active), it means it is safety locked and cannot be cancelled with a further button press. You can usually recycle with the flight directors.

The rule of thumb is always check the active modes on the FMA rather than on the MCP. Again, lights out on an active mode is normal and just means it is intended not to be de-selectable.

What do you mean by "fake" autoland? In your picture the aircraft isn't in autoland mode. Single channel is still annunciated on the PFD because autopilot B isn't engaged and flare isn't armed on the FMA. The aircraft doesn't autoland in this case.

The OCD part of me noticed a heading of 117 on the ND, and 277 on the MCP
