What are new aircraft in SU11 worth if bought separately?

Just to get in on the fun here @bobcat999 I am assuming your cost estimates were based on the brief glimpses from the Microsoft trailers? Depending on the interior details the value may be shifted one way or the other. I have more historical blood in me for this new batch arriving and really hoping the interior of the Spruce Goose does not disappoint. From the few seconds of the trailers, the exterior textures look good. Fingers crossed!

Yes that's right Laurie.  That's all I have to go on plus knowing who the developers are (Airplane Heaven, Milviz (now Blackbird) etc.).

The Spruce Goose will be a blast for sure.  How long will it take to get airborne do you think?

An interesting point of discussion is the eight engines. As far as I know, MSFS is only set up to control four engines.  So have they expanded this or have they doubled up?

After all, I believe we have the An225 coming at some stage.

Months ago before before it was revealed it was said they were working on increasing the number of engines for an unannounced local legend, I wonder if they were referring to the Spruce Goose here.

I haven't checked if the SDK supports more than 4 engines in SU11. Localization file still only mentions up to 4 engines.

Wow, that's a lot of money for the Aeroplane Heaven DC-3!

I'm not that much into the older planes, but I would assume the Aeroplane DC-3 would have sold for $30 USD or so?

I figured it would be at least as good as the PMDG DC-6, and then they added all the liveries and the paratroopers. I was also very impressed by the P-51 Mustang. So yeah, $100 bucks, why not.

I really hope the Bell 407 is an Analogue Cocpit and not a Glass Updated one.... That would be a shame for me...

Looking over the 407 Page at Bell the fact the displays are high tech is a selling point, I'm guessing there going to go in that direction. Doesn't mean we'll get an anlalog makeover though. Worked well with the default Caravan and King Air.

I see now - thanks 🙂 It is all free - that is good news.

I am still very sceptic what we will get for "free"..."There is no such thing as a free lunch".

Based on my 20+ years flightsim experience I would be very (pleasantly) surprised to get high fidelity addon for free or there will be some kind of a catch.

Of course hoping I am wrong 🙂

The catch is, more people switch over to MSFS and make more purchases in the MSFS marketplace.  Then Microsoft makes more money, from the MSFS marketplace purchases.

True!  No problem for the likes of me and you though that have already purchased it - no matter what others say, it is definitely a free lunch for us with a bit of dessert as well!

Although it has been frustrating at times, it is still an excellent all round sim that is getting better every few months, and I take my hat of to MS / Asobo for doing this for free - they didn't have to.
