What 40th Anniversary Aircraft Will you Fly First?

I never actually answered the thread question.

I'll probably try one of the Helicopters first, then probably the Wright Flyer and Spruce Goose.

Helis for sure. Wonder what happens to the ones that use external FM programs.

Milviz themselves have said so. Still of course I hope it will be decent enough to be enjoyable.

The Beaver is going to be a Milviz product but… as we never intended it to have the “full fat” as you called it, it won’t have wear n tear, dirt levels or states etc. That said, it will have the EFB as well as the ability to use 3PD GTN/GPS units.

Also, as we’re not allowed to do derivatives, there will be no Turbo Beaver.

For me, I didn't expect wear and tear, dirt levels, and states being saved when you leave the plane, in the first place. So if this is what is missing in the Beaver, for my expectations (but maybe not the expectations of others in this thread), the Beaver would be fully featured for me.

i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

A310.  Can't wait.

Aorus Master X570 / 5800x3d w/ Arctic Freezer ii 280 / Asus TUF 3090 w/ gigabyte BIOS / 2x16GB b-die @ 3600Mhz

I think they still work on SU11 (don't quote me on that, but I haven't seen any reports in the Beta forums), so probably not much.

They may adopt the new flight model, they may not.

I'm sure there'll be a few gliding missions/tutorials, so I'll be doing a few of those first, followed by the choppers.

Matt Webb

The first thing I'll fly is the glider.

I9-14900K,  Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme  M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD

I agree.

If the flight model, the visuals and the sounds will be at least as good as for example the "default" C172, I'd be happy. Then still there are great modders on flightsim.to who might improve it further like Bagolu does for the C172.

So, my positive feelings predominate. 😉

The Bell, followed by one of the gliders and then the 310 😁

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Owning Airbus line in Xp11 definitely the A310 first, KLM, Lufthansa, Martinair, air transat, Air Azores, Air Portugal liveries.

Then then Dc-3 as a second.

I9 12900K @ 5.1ghz P-cores/ 4.0 ghz E-cores fixed HT off / Corsair iCue H150i Capellix Cooler/ MSI Z690 CARBON WiFi / 32GB Corsair DDR5 RAM @ 5200 mhz XMP on / 12GB MSI 4090 RTX Ventus 3 / 7,5 total TB SSD (2+2+2+1+0,5 all NVMe)/ PSU 850W Corsair / 27" (1080P)

Absolutely not a single one of them 😄

[MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]

A310 as the others will be the same as the other 40+ default aircraft rubbish

Glider over the Austrian and Swiss Apls first, then choppers and A310

New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. Old PC - Ryzen 5900x - 32gb 3600Mhz RAM - Asus Strix X570-F Motherboard - ASUS TUF OC RTX 3090 - 1TB Sabrent NVMe. AOC AGON 32" 144Hz - Honeycomb Yoke - Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. T Flight Rudder Pedals - Trackir.

Spruce Goose. From what I have read, it should come off the water at about 90-95 knots (100-110 mph) depending on head winds. It should only build speed very slowly and needs a long run. In it’s brief flight it had an airspeed of about 120 knots (135 mph).

I guess the absence and lack of updates of Carenado could mean they were too involved fulfilling Microsoft jobs for this huge 40th anniversary upgrade?
