2 of the other aircraft are also made by the same company behind the A310

And based off the Helicopter featured series video, the Cabri G2 also looks fully featured, and they even had actual Cabri G2 pilots try it and give feedback.

Also the C172 is not rubbish anymore. Asobo has been improving it with every patch basically.

I guess the absence and lack of updates of Carenado could mean they were too involved fulfilling Microsoft jobs for this huge 40th anniversary upgrade?

Yeah, I wonder how much input Carenado have had in the modelling of some of these planes?

The AH DC3 is going to be particularly interesting.

Looking forward to the DC-3.

I am most interested in the DC-3 and the DHC-2 Beaver and hoping they have been developed well.

I'm also worry about DC-3 from Airplane Heaven. I expect DHC-2 from Milviz be same quality as their Porter - everything works except circuit breakers

Some people on this thread really do not understand what 40th anniversary can bring to the Sim. They think that if this is free update, the aircrafts will be rubbish.

Hell no, iniBuilds were definitely been paid by Asobo/MS to bring their aircraft to the Sim. iniBuilds stated numerous times that the quality of A310 will be the same or even better than the X-Plane version

Some of you do not realize that iniBuilds A310 for X-Plane is one of the most advanced in terms of quality and system depth Airliners in any flight sim right know (They are on par with PMDG aircrafts, Fenix A320 and FSLabs A320 family - thats for sure)

Looking forward to this release

Absolutely! This is a huge landmark for Flight Simulator. Developer reputations could move up or down very quickly if they don’t get it right on the Anniversary release date. Pretty sure most of the aircraft will tick the majority of boxes as good or better.

Reasonable to be concerned re the ex AH DC-3/C-47 as it may arrive emasculated.

"From AH’s profile on Facebook:

Hi all. We must apologise for being somewhat absent from these pages in recent times. We have been extremely busy with development for Microsoft and the upcoming release. We are still extremely busy on other projects but will take some time out to answer your recent posts and queries. Thanks for your patience and all will be revealed soon! In the meantime, with regard to the DC-3, we cannot comment very much on it except to say that as it is now in Microsoft ownership, So any further news or updates will come from them.

The specifications of the package will be different to those we published before "adoption". For obvious reasons, we must follow Microsoft protocols and methodolgy which has meant quite a list of changes to the specifications and content of the original project.

We will be producing a number of FREE livery packs soon after release which will contain many of the listed liveries you saw prior to us being signed by Microsoft.

By all means refer to previous posts for an idea of liveries which will be included in the FREE packs but beyond that don't listen to speculation as it can only be unqualified. What we can promise is that it will be a very exciting update to the simulator!

Thanks for your patience."

I plan on flying Cargo routes from KLAX, KSAN to Honolulu, French Polynesia and Marshall Islands with the A310.
