I suck at helikopter flying, nevertheless, looking forward to this!

That doubles my experience. I tried in several sims over the years and kind of managed to somehow tame beasts, but I never had the fun of flying a cute GA plane.

Part of the issue is certainly I don't have a proper collective.

Nonetheless, loking forward.

Kind regards, Michael

They focused solely on the Guimbal Cabri which was built at Asobo.

So I wonder if the Bell 407 was outsourced then?

It's done by Nemeth.  Their models weren't particularly in depth in fsx but now that we'll have default heli variables it should be okay.

Ah I found it, yeah Jorg mentioned it in an interview.

Sometimes I have to pinch myself that our hobby got such a breath of new life with MSFS. These videos are always so impressive and it's incredibly interesting and exciting to see how much attention to detail they're giving these projects.

When I used xp11 I definitely considered buying a decent helicopter setup.  I used one at the flight school near by my old facility and it wasn't extremely expensive and it made the sim so much nicer and enjoyable.

I am just mesmerized by the CFD visualization.

It's amazing what the MSFS team is doing with CFD in MSFS. And the new 20 KM CFD that surrounds the plane in SU11 is something that hasn't been done in a home market flight simulator before. The 20 KM CFD in SU 11 looks to be a game changer.

Absolutely, MSFS completely upended the stagnant flight sim world before it and all for the better... SU after SU, WU after WU, MSFS keeps steamrolling ahead building up a multi-purpose flight simulation platform that more and more covers the gamut of users/needs. Pair all this amazing free content and a base platform with the thriving 3rd party add-on content that also keep pouring out product after product, and it really is a great time for flight simming. Asobo + Working Title is the perfect dev team for the core MSFS platform, and devs like Fenix  & others for example are the perfect complement to them in terms of add-on content (both passionate in what they do, their attention to details, core skills, and just overall attitude most importantly when it comes to transparency & relationship with their customers). More of the new guard please, and more of the old guard reinventing themselves for the new flightsim-scape, it's all quite refreshing.

I presently use a Logitech flight yoke and pedals.  I feel certain that I can't use it for helicopters.  What do I need>

I’ve gotten half decent at flying the H145 but then it has so much automation that I may be in for a rude awakening when I start flying these two helicopters!

This! I can somehow get to terms with the H135, but the Bell 47 is like a wild chick with her own will.

It's unfortunate that neither Igor Sikorsky nor Alexander Graham Bell, the two pioneers of early helicopter design, are alive today to witness this tribute to their efforts.

I hope the AW101 makes a comeback from a third party.
