November 11, 20223 yr Author I'm definitely excited about bird strikes. This looks very fascinating to me and appears to make the X-Plane flight model even more sophisticated. I did some asking around and from the responses I got, I don't think something like bird strikes has been done before in a home market flight simulator. No, it's one of those things I switched off and forgot about. Totally pointless, especially seeing deer running across a runway in the middle of the Australian outback etc...

(just triggered a bird strike in 2D and it didn't break the glass tho, just set engine 3 on fire). These little but lovely details made it exciting to fire up XP, rare but "special" experiences.
