VSync FSX CFG

Recommended Posts

Guest dwaohio

This is supposed to be in my FSX cfg file after SP1 is installed. I do not have the below items. What do they look like in the CFG file and why would I not have them after installing SP1.DISPLAYForceFullScreenVSync, default is TRUEForceVSync, default is FALSEDave

Those are suggested tweaks, so if you want to try them you need to enter it in manually. No entry equals the above default value, so for instance is you wanted to change ForceFullScreenVSync to false you would enter the line ForceFullScreenVSync=Falsein the display section of the cfg file.

Thanks

By the way, the above example is also good advice for most users. I recommend setting vSync to false. It syncronizes your performance with your monitors refresh rate, which should be set at 75 or 85 unless you have an LCD panel some of which require 60 (whichis slower yet). Run your own test using the same conditions forcinf it off and then forcing it on and compare. If you have a good video card, you want it off.
