Glider Training Issue - Unable to signal I am ready

Featured Replies

The instructions say to move your Rudder left and right a few times and nothing happens.  Anyone else seeing this?  My rudder pedals are set to rudder axis and calibrated properly.

I sat on the ground in one trying to figure out what to do hehe.  I need to look at the training activities.

I was sat on the ground not moving in the first lesson, until I turned my battery on and then the tow plane started moving.

signalling with rudder movements did nothing for me either, so I looked and found the release switch instead

I disabled all my add-on scenery in Add-On Linker and now I get the guy holding the wing.  Not sure which scenery, maybe something in the UK.

Naw I have scenery setup per region using Addon Linker and I only had about 100 midwest USA sceneries enabled and I also don't see the guy holding the wing anymore.  I was using the sailplane airport in Ohio fwiw.  With no scenery enabled I have the guy holding the wing

Patience is required...takes awhile for the tow plane to go. I did move my throttle up and back and that seemed to start it...probably just a coincidence.

I had to remove EGAC Belfast.

You can search your community folder for "AirportServices",    one of those airports is the source of the conflict.

I had the exact same problem. Went into flightsim.to today and looked for updates to my downloaded scenery. I came across the following which I had installed.

EGAC George Best Belfast City Airport, Northern Ireland (UK)

Update available

v1.19 recompiled with latest SDK for Sim Update 11 (40th Anniversary edition) compatibility (includes small change to Airport Services config that was conflicting with Glider training missions)

On updating the problem with glider signalling was resolved. This confirms that Airport Services config at some airports is causing the problem.
