Wilco Feel There Citation X Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi allI have a problem with this addon, can someone please help me ?There's a buzzing sound going on all the time and even when I end mission it continues for a few seconds, anyone knows what might be causing it ?It stops if I switch off the batteries and engines, I've tried switching all the buttons, but the problem remains and I think this might not be normal as it continues even after I end mission.Any ideas please?regardsBruno

hello, thanks for the replies, the buzzing begins about 1 second after the plane is loaded, the first second I notice the sound is not there and when it starts it doesn't seem natural, like a stutter in the sound. I have tried starting cold and dark and the same thing happens as soon as I switch on the batteries.I have checked the fuel pump and it's not that sound, this sound is different, more like a high frequency bzzzzzzz. And I'm almost certain its not natural, even more because of it continuing after I end mission, all sounds end but this one alone keeps going on for a few seconds after window is closed. I've got fsuipc and ASX/XG, could any of these be the cause ?I'd like to post this problem at feel there's forum, but they don't send me the confirmation email for the forum :Regards Bruno

I suspect you're talking about the cooling fan noise, which as far as I can tell is directly programmed into the gauge. What kind of sound card does your PC use? If the fan noise is being chopped up, it could be that reducing the sound acceleration in DirectX could help, or possibly you need to update your sound drivers. And on-board sound controllers are notorious for this sort of behavior with FS, as they compete for CPU/memory resources rather than having their own independent processor.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile

Hi Bobthanks for your reply :),the Sound card is X-fi Fatality, drivers are one month old or so but I'll update them. I have already disabled acceleration in dxdiag to basic, but the problem persists, so i guess that's not the issue. I recall that one of the times I tried the cpu was working at 100 %, but this last time I tried it, it seemed ok.How can I check if it is the cooling fan, cause the noise seems like it could be that.my specs aremobo Asus P5dwh deluxeE6600 DC intel2 gb Ram DDR II 800xfx 88000 ultraocz 700w psuX-fi fatalityRegardsBruno
