ModelLib.BGL still need manual fixing as of today?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

i was wondering since i'm installing stuff on FS2020 and i'm wondering if running https://fr.flightsim.to/file/5972/modellibchanger is still required as of today?

i bought some sceneries with BF, and some scenes still have the standard Modellib.bgl with the default path "scenery/global/scenery"

Can this still cause issues nowadays like it was discovered back then :https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/scenery-creators-please-move-or-rename-your-modellib-bgl/307563

Or that's fixed by asobo and no need to do it again?

thank you

I think it still can cause problems, but I use Addons Linker to fix those issues, don't need to download anything else for that.

Yea, this one is the "original script" later integrated in addonlinker.

i've read on olds 2021 dev forum posts, that renaming the bgl(and the manifest of course) could break the scenes.

nothing to report on your side after renaming/fixing the conflicting libs?

Thx

Nope, no problems here.

It's still needed (the Addons Linker can help on this), and the "layout.json" is the one that needs to be checked, not the "manifest.json" file.

In addons linker,  run "ModelLib Changer",    "MaterialLibs Changer",   "Scan ICAO / Check for duplicates",   "Check Addons",  and right click to "delete all invalid links".
