This could/should have been MSFS 2020 - more than ...

I like the fact tha MSFS is constantly improving / evolving.

Yeah, 10 more years of that and they may improve everything else enough to be an equal match for X-Plane 10 or FSX . Super exciting 🤣 (the FSX glider and helicopter tutorials are still basically the best I've come accross for a flight sim, easy win there for MSFS, maybe one of you can get them to change their mind)

"Water in fuel simulation" coming to all MSFS planes by Christmas 2026, then maybe we'll switch to a gamepass subscription.

Great, the MSFS forum is >>>>> that way.

Thanks for the note. I am good right here...

But that is not a bad thing is it? Why not just let the majority have cake and be happy?

I stumbled across the perfect take on this when I was digging up AC7 stuff:

https://www.unrealengine.com/pt-BR/developer-interviews/ace-combat-7-soars-high-with-ue4-to-become-franchise-s-best-installment

The only ones complaining at the moment are those in total denial that MSFS is an XBOX game for people to enjoy, like that wasn't made clear from the first day it was announced.

I mean, OK, its not a very good game. Its been a long time since I've seen ratings this low and it is truly terrible if awesome developers like PMDG do get left out in the cold (although X-Plane 12 is waiting...)

But those expecting more/different from a games developer who put some staff through basic flight training and a game publisher that hasn't released a blockbuster title for 20 years were only ever fooling themselves, everyone else just got on with business.

You know the Microsoft series never felt much like a game when my colleagues and I were using it during our type ratings.

I guess it's funny how all the professional pilots I meet who use sims all use MSFS. It speaks volumes that the only people so vociferous in their attacks on MSFS are people like you, who after scraping through the lowest levels of piloting licenses believe themselves to be a voice of authority.

But I guess my thousands of hours in the air, across 7 types and counting, including everything from light aircraft to aerobatics to commercial jets is all irrelevant. After all, you have a PPL and once posted a video of you as a passenger in a helicopter.

Perhaps you should give this a read;

Not as funny as people pretending its allowed by the MSFS software licence to use it for anything other than recreational use.

Similarly, while MSFS’ built-in failure system is more limited and it would be really nice if they improved it, most high-end add-ons don’t even use it.

Just like they generally skip the hot-garbage default flight model. Or spend years developing their own that will inevitably fall short of XP's decades of tuning and modeling improvements.

I really don't care for a flight model debates.

Legit! I do instead. 😉

If I could upvote twice....

Also need to note what fs2020 users on YT consider to be a flat spin. No wonder they think it's amazing!!

Mmmm. He's not making personal attacks, now is he. That comes from you folks.

Mhmmmm, yeah, you still haven't given me any reason to believe you. But let's pretend that you aren't lying. With comments and tone like yours, that makes you the senior in high school coming to the 5th grade playground to pick fights, no? "4reds", maybe?

I'd like to submit a motion to change the Xplane forum to the "Pilotwings 64" forum. We'd get more enjoyable content and there would be fewer children bickering back and forth about something as stupid as their favorite type of software.

The ayes should upvote, the nays should like. Voting closes 12 hours from the timestamp of this post.

Oh look, it's the guy who has never been near an aircraft or a simulator in his life, yet talks like an absolutely authority.

I'm seeing a pattern here.

Why is it that none of the most talkative and strong-viewed posters in here don't fly aircraft? Must be a coincidence I guess.

See...it's so easy with fs2020 to not even NEED to be an authority. Let alone make unfounded claims to it.

Which of your many *ahem* 'type ratings' look like the fs2020 flight model geometry? In case you didn't know, it's the Planform Model on the right. Garbage in, garbage out (the FM, not a personal attack on you).

Well if that isn't just the perfect example.

Hey, if you are happier with XP FM over MSFS, I would not try to change your mind. To each his own.
