I recently posted a thread here concerning some actions developers could take to help us poor users. Here are some additional items.1. Please, don't upload your zip files with those stupid thumbs.db files. These files are useless and they prevent mass copying (the one you can walk away from for a coffee break) and they are very annoying. All you have to do is delete them from the zip file before uploading. Note: Some of these thumbs.db files are quite large and thus take up valuable disk space.2. MRAI-format flight plans - Why are you folks who develop flight plans putting two sets of FPs in zip files - MRAI and non-MRAI. The flightplan text files are exactly the same. Why not just put MRAI FPs in the upload and forget the standard set - saves time and space.3. jpg, bmp, pnp, etc pic files. It is great to have a snapshot of a repaint in with the aircraft files. Buy why is it necessary to have *.jpg AND *.gif AND *.bmp (or in some cases *.pnp) files in the same zip folder. Won't one type be sufficient? In addition, is it really necessary to put multiple pics of the same aircraft in the file?4. Guys and gals, we really need ICAO codes to accompany all repaints. Yesterday I downloaded a set of repaints of XL.com. In the zip folder were ops out aircraft for Tuifly and MyTravel. There are two tuifly airlines (tuifly.com and tuifly nordic) and there are two MyTravel airlines (MYT and VKG). Without the ICAO codes it is really hard to tell where these aircraft are supposed to be placed.Please don't consider all of this criticism. I know everyone is very pleased that folks out there give up their time to our hobby. And yes, I know this stuff is free. But, developers could surely go a tiny bit more to help us users get things put away in our hangers.Thanksfb

Excellent points, except for #3, which perhaps deserves some additional comments.Although it is true that here at AVSIM one does not need to include a .GIF thumbnail (150x150 or less) in the zipped file, nor does one need to include a larger .jpg, .gif, or .png image, other websites requirements often do insist that those be included in the zipped file.Because of these varying requirements, rather than create two (or more) versions of the zipped file, uploaders will simply create a zipped file which meets all of the requirements of the various FS websites where they intend to upload their project......up to and including the now archaic "fileid.diz" file... ;)However, I do agree that it's unnecessary to include umpty-dozen .jpg screenshots, as one will soon see for themselves what it looks like in the sim! *:-*

Here are a couple more:1.When developing aircraft please include the V-speeds for the aircraft.2.Please include checklists.The above two would help make it a lot easier to fly the aircrafts that you developed for us
