iFly Jets 737 MAX8 Released

Recommended Posts

I find my frame rates definitely take a hit with the iFly MAX at even medium sized addon airports.  I'd rank it similar to FSL A320.  PMDG has less FPS issues and the Majestic Q400 is just the best at everything 🙂

Yes it does. It is really annoying. I don’t know if it’s something wrong with my setup but I have followed all the advice on the iFly forum, for example, having your throttles firewalled for the autothrottle to work correctly.

Did this soulution work for you?

Ouch, those are bad news. I'll keep waiting then...

Unfortunately it did not. I keep flying it but it is in fact annoying.

See here. N1, trim and throttle are always trying to correct for lack of a better term.

By the way, thanks for your fantastic AFCAD’s.

Thanks for the update.👍

I didnt realize they had released another update this week.

Kudos to iFly attending to some fixes and enhancements. I have been really impressed with their forum support and the professionalism shown. 👏

I am really enjoying the Max. I am currently on a round-the-world tour in my now-defunct Flyr 737 -8 Max.

Earlier this week I mentioned I saw an issue with the ADF displaying VOR distance. I am glad to see this was very quickly fixed by the team in this latest update.

It seems my throttle issues were user induced (no surprise here!)  I now put my physical throttle into idle at the top of descent.  VNAV works incredibly well now.

It's not really your/users' fault tbh... iFly simply does a poor job of blocking throttle inputs when A/T is engaged, even if the option is ticked. It's definitely not like PMDG where it blocks 100% of all inputs from the throttle. Honestly it's one of my biggest gripes with this plane.
