The rules are not even consistent, for example, it can be correct to write either two small fish or two small fishes.

December 29, 20223 yr There are often arguments over the correct collective noun for aircrafts. Is it a squadron ? fleet? flock? circus ? flight ? I can now , after years of research, reveal the correct collective noun for aircraft is "moneysink". Example of typical usage: "John had recently acquired a moneysink of classic and vintage aircraft".
