I will get my hands on an X-Plane polo shirt.  I will wear it.  I WILL post a photo of me wearing it.  I'm anxious to wear that handsome shirt. I just hope the local women can maintain some sense of diplomatic restraint and propriety.

Good choice video as a reminder of how far they come and how involve they were in laying to foundation for future development without the presences of that other sim.

Well ... you know ... there are people in the "other" forum who are praising MSFS and its superiority all the time. What I'm wondering though: if they really knew and were convinced about its total superiority, why do they even care about what X-Plane does and what not? They could stay in their forum and be happy campers, but seem to be very insecure and instead ... you know ...
OTOH, X-Plane users are praising X-Plane in the X-Plane forum and don't go into the other forum, because _________________ please fill in the correct reason 😁.

I'm with you 100%, it's absolute madness. You'd think people had something better to do. Like, who has 3-4 minutes to argue this stuff in an online forum??? Keep fighting the good fight and meanwhile I'll keep destroying my control surfaces in XP12. Can't do THAT in other sims 😄

Naah... Who needs things like setting visibility or avionics failures? Giraffes are way more important in a flight simulator. 😄

I watched the first few minutes of a youtube video of some dude animal spotting and I couldn't stop laughing. I could understand a kid, but adults? At some point you have to outgrow that kind of thing, right? He said he was a pilot in real life, which I think is a dubious claim. Of course, on top of it he was dealing w/ stutters, low bandwidth warnings, etc. I was desperate to contact him to let him know there's something better, but he had his comments turned off. Oh well.

You seem to coincidentally know one of my best friends. He was (not only once) in a level D sim, but once he asked the instructor, whether they can fly to somewhere, where giraffes are. The instructor was somewhat surprised about that request and asked "Why?". My friend said, he really likes giraffes, they are so majestic and something positive - whereas failures are something so negative.
Unfortunately, the instructor had to deny, as there aren't airports in the repertoire of that specific simulator, where you can find giraffes. However, if my friend would book the sim of another plane, he can get something similarly positive like giraffes, even better: unicorns 🦄.

I hope my response to Murmur didn't come off as insulting to your friend. I guess it's ok for people to like flying to see animals sometimes. I just feel strongly about the need to maintain a certain level of seriousness w/ simming.

It's a jerk move in general to judge other people for how they enjoy to use their sim especially given how niche the hobby is in general.

Ive really enjoyed them so far. Its an absolute breath of fresh air to look and think about "pure" flight simulation for a change, instead of the usual suspects of issues, plugins, performance settings etc.

Im also not picking up any particular sense of insecurity.... at least not from anyone vested in getting the most out of the best flight simulation has to offer 🤣
