Oh ... wow!! You seem to be very upset that your sim of choice is completely unable to do such things. One of the funnier flight sim moments 2022 😆. I feel so sorry for you 😥.

I've often said that the prime characteristic of an MSFS fanboi is that they would much rather spend their time in forums talking trash about other sims than actually flying their own.

Which I can understand. 😈

There are definitely some people who love trolling here, but that's never been the issue that bothered me. What bothers me is that a few XP fans reply to them over and over and over (and over and over...) again. Just ignore them and move on. You wouldn't have to have long conversations with them then! Instead I could come read about failures, new scenery and updates, etc., rather than long arguments about nothing. We're all talking about computer games, nothing more.

@Dermot McClusky Hey, you get around! Happy New Year! Just checking out scenery for XP12. We may go for the mountains of Switzerland! All checked out in the Viper eX 😉 Definitely loving the textures/reflections in XP12 aircraft!

Some of us just don't want to see them in these forums if they're going to troll.  It's gotten to the point where several X-Plane commercial developers, and some X-Plane users, who used to frequent these forums, have completely abandoned it for a more troll free environment.  I am, literally, the only commercial developer who is still here.  And that's after taking an avsim hiatus since February.

It's actually astonishing watching people, show a lot of interest in trashing the product they have no interest in.

Why is it, they demand respect from us when visiting their forums, but they can't show the same thing in return?

If respect means, "Don't criticize our perfect product", then they don't know the meaning of respect.

It just overflows with hypocrisy.

EDIT:

BTW, the post of mine you quoted, was taken, word for word, with the exception of "MSFS", from the MSFS forums

(Just to prove a point.)

Nothing short of 👍.

Imagine, an X-Plane users goes to the MSFS forum and tells the (undeniable) shortcomings of MSFS - like e.g. the failure system. What would happen (no phone-A-Friend lifeline allowed)?

  1. "Come in my dear XP friend, it's winter and cold outside (northern hemishpere). We have prepared coffee and tea for you. Let us have a civilized discussion"
  2. "Go back behind the rock you crawled out from" (original quote of one of thee haters, not even in the MSFS forum, but here in the X-Plane forum)
  3. Hell is freezing over
  4. The dinosaurs resurrect

And now imagine, the XP user would even simply troll ... What bothers me is that a few MSFS fans in this case would reply over and over and over (and over and over...) again. Just ignore ... I skip the rest, as you know it.
