Anyone released a King Air 350i modded with Collins Proline?

Featured Replies

Given that WT has improved the Collins in the CJ4 curious if anyone has released or has announced a modded 350i yet?  Is the BS 350 mod the best for overall 350 mod at present?

I've also been waiting for this. Haven't seen any projects to do this so far unfortunately.

But indeed the Black Square 350 is the most indepth mod for the king air. (assuming that is what you mean with "best")

I guess so.

Milviz/Blackbird released a Collins PL21 with their King Air 350 in P3D, I believe, and it was released less than 2 years ago.  Would be neat if they could get that PL21 into MSFS.

Isn't the default Cessna CJ4 using something similar to a PL21?  If so, isn't that being improved from time-to-time with updates?

Also, perhaps WT / Asobo could eventually do a PL21 or similar system, as a part of a future AAU update.  That is, once they run out of things to work on :)

I say, after the present units (G1000/3000/5000 and the 430/530 and 650/750 etc.) there are a couple of avionics that would be really nice to have, because of their popularity:
1. Collins ProLine 21
2. CIVA Inertial Navigation System (very common in many vintage airliners)
3. Garmin G5 units (you know, the replacement little Garmin artificial horizons with extra data, a common retrofit on GA's today)
4.  Aspen avionics (they have some "cool/awesome/bespoke" units)

I believe the current incarnation of the PL21 in the AAU is supposed to be much more accurate than the version previously embedded in the CJ4.  It still does not support Winds but beyond that having limited (read:NONE) knowledge of the PL21 I am simply repeating what has been shared by WT.  In fact, while it does have more features than previously and the integration with the PFD is much more rich it seems other information I'd remembered from the PFD is not present.  That being said perhaps it is there if one navigates the deep menus (that were not very deep before) however given the difficulty in doing so I've yet to explore all of the options.  For the life of me I cannot reliably select the inner / outer knobs of the PFD / MFD option selector.  There is significantly more in terms of buttons on the pedestal however many do not at present work at all.  I assume all of this is in process to be made active?

Real question for me - is Milviz planning on bringing the KA 350 to MSFS? Have there been any previews or hints?
