AFG King Air released!

Recommended Posts

I already had created the other cameras (copilot and passengers, etc.), but I found that, since you discovered that the AS worked when you changed the view, adding that radios view really helped in usage of the aircraft. Thanks for that!Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

Cool. I'll have to look over your camera views to see if they are better then mine! I disabled the master warning light that won't shut off. the file, MW_Light.xml needs to be placed back into the kingair300.cab fileI've also slowed the strobes and red flashers down considerably if you want those fx files too.All of these are zipped up here, but I don't know how long they are retained.Paul DahlenP.S. be sure to BACK UP any files that my files overwrite.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176742.zip

In my case, the master warning light doesn't come off because the bleed air fail lights are illuminated, and the bleed air valve switches, located on the copilot panel seem to be inoperative. Any clue how to make them functional ?Alain Sq

When you say that they seem to be inoperative, what do you mean?Do you mean that they don't seem to move? The bleed air switches are 3 way switches, which means that you have to click and drag to get them to move. They won't move if just click them. Did you try this? The switches operate normally on my system.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

Oops ! Sorry, I missed this one : I was keeping clicking on the switches to no avail : now, they work correctly by dragging them with the mouse. Thanks for the tip !But now that I'm in flight, the warning light "CAB ALT HIGH" remains illuminated. I tried to correct that, but didn't succeed to find the solution. I noticed that the cabin altitude was indeed around 25000 ft, which is too high for a flight at FL300. The differential pressure seems too small (not enough bleed air flow ?) Any hint ? Alain

If you hold your mouse over the outer ring of the cabin pressure setup dial on the rear of the pedestal (the one with the numbers on it), its tooltip will tell you what the max altitude that any particular setting can be. I think for a flight at FL300 you would need to set it around 5500 or 6000, but I'm not sure. You certainly don't want the cabin altitude pressure altitude setting to be any higher than 10,000 ft for passenger comfort.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

A new update for the AFG B300 has just been released by AFG. You can download it from Avsim at http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...atID=fs2004acrpIt fixes some airfile issues, contact points, adds the missing recog and wing lights, and adds a new paint. My FSX update files have been updated to reflect the changes in the aircraft.cfg, and adds a thumbnail for the new paint.Use the link in the first message to download the new FSX update file.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

I think it might be easier to edit the panel.cfg and replace the warning light on the 2D panel with the one from the VC panel. When I want to turn the warning light off, I switch to 2D and turn it off there.I'll be updating the FSX update file again by tomorrow morning with this fix.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

>Gday Paul..apologies for my ignorance but where does the xml>document go? Regards Don SMy mistake. If you have a means to do it just add the xml to the kingair300.cab file. I use PowerArchiver which is free, but I also think there is another free tool in the FSX SDK.

Hi Paul,I started a new thread on this since this one's getting kind of long.Rather than disabling the MW_Light, I have now modified the panel to use the default FSX B350 panel, and added the MW_light gauge to the 2D panels and you can turn it off from their, either from the main, ifr, or warning light pop up panel. I also modified the MW_light gauge to use the correct graphics as well for the 2D panels. You can get the new updates by downloading from the same link above.I've just tested a fix from Esa, however, so it won't be needed much longer, though it is good to have the right button on the 2D panels, too, so the update will still be needed till Esa integrates all the changes.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180
