Airport Runway Layout

Hello All.Other than using the default flight planner in FSX, is there a place or tool that I can use to get a runway layout? When I use GA Aircraft, I have no problem in making it onto the correct runway for landing. I've been using the Airliners more and more to make cross country flights and still have some trouble in landing on the right runway. There is nothing more annoying that hearing "your not cleared to land after a long flight. I'm looking for a layout so that I can make proper approaches to get lined up on the runway I intend to land on.Thanks in advance for any help. Hope I posted this in the right place.Ernest

www.airnav.comOr, you could always buy an AFD (Airport and Facilities Directory) at your local FBO too. Sometimes they will give you the expired ones which are fine for flight sim. I usually give mine to the ground school for the students to use.If you join AOPA they send you one free that is really, really comprehensive- but it's technically not supposed to be used since it's not updated regularly- but again for flight sim it's fantastic. They send it to you for the free trial membership.

I always look at the layout before flying...before doing any flight planning. Hi Ernest,The most effective solution to this would be to purchase FS Flight Keeper which will scan your scenery files and produce airport maps as detailed as this http://www.flightkeeper.net/Screenshot07b.htmlFSFK is currently only available for FS9 but a FSX version is being developed. There used to be a tool sort of like that called Airport's Chart Viewer but it was abandoned around the time FS9 came out.scott s..

Airport Charts Viewer works fine in FS9. You could also use AFCAD.EDIT: Sorry, I'm getting my forums confused. Ignore this post.Martin

Earnest,It does sound like you just want to see where the destination runways are...
