Well I bit the bullet   and got add on linker installed. The only thing I will use it for is the Misty Moorings files, but once I got it set up it was pretty easy to use, and I can see it will come in handy. .

It really is handy. For me, being able to put airports, planes, scenery, and other stuff into separate folders makes it more organized and easier to find stuff when updates are required.

This is wonderful. I used to so enjoy flying my Bird Dog around Misty moorings. I mostly fly the 737 now, but I'll definitely install this and take the Beaver out and revisit some old haunts. One thing I miss unless I'm mistaken, and I may be, is a map of all the locations, or have I forgotten? Is such a map available?

There is also a list on one of the web pages with codes for all the locations in MM, where you can put the code in your GPS, and flt directly to the location.

This looks quite interesting. Time to install this and learn to fly the Kodiak float plane in VR I think.

I started flying the Kodiak Amphib today. Couldn't get takeoff power, struggled with it for a couple of hours. Hopped on Discord, and the developer solved them problem in about 2 minutes. I forgot to unlatch the prop.

another great advantage of using Addon Linker: it adds a feature missing from MSFS that most AddonLinker users probably don't know or use: you can spread your addons over multiple drives. I ran out of space on my main MSFS addons drive during MistyMooring installation and while I am waiting for the new Samsung 4 TB NVMe drive, I installed the new addon to a different drive and simply added it to Addons Linker. since the files are all just symbolic links, MSFS doesn't know nor care where their corresponding original files are located:

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Don't know what I've done, but none of the sceneries are showing. I've added the folder which includes all the separate sceneries to my US_Alaska folder in Addon Linker, the links are showing in the Community folder, but nope, no sceneries! Anyone have any idea?

the folder I am seeing in the community folder all start with rtmm-

Oh BTW, to anchor the aircraft, just hit active pause

Hmm, can that happen? I'll try ading them as separate folders and see if that helps.

Definitely shouldn't need to do that.  I have it in Addon Linker as the RTMM folder, with all the sub folders inside that. Works fine.   Addon Linker deals with nested folder just fine in all cases i've used.

Sure, that's always been my undertsanding too. It's very odd, as like I said, they are showing as the linked foldesr in the Community folder, so unsure what's going on. I'm just this minute trying again.

This is very odd.  Nope, still no joy. I have the RTMM folder and it resides on it's own in a folder named sceneries, which has all my other sceneries that work perfectly fine. Not sure what to try now

and while we are at it, always a good idea to have Addons Linker check for multiple, possibly conflicting "modellib.bgl" entries, often found in old sceneries, like MistyMooring:
