This update series is largely focused on smoothing out some annoyances, bug fixes throughout the airplane and continued improvements in airplane handling. (eliminating notchiness with nearly-centered ground steering, for example!).

next update 07FEB2023

I was talking about the MSFS update. Not the PMDG updates. Last or next.

But next PMDG improve ground steering, so that’s should be a good news for you , isn’t?

Oh sure, any improvement is a plus but this thread wasn't about the handling of the steering as they currently intend it to be but rather about the fact that I couldn't steer it at all for some inexplicable reason that has now vanished like a goose fart in the fog😆

Has been happening to me also since the update went in.  Anything above 5 kts and I have to use one toe brake to get the turn done.

I tried using both Tiller Only and Rudder + Tiller

Also tried servicing the Hydraulics and all the other servicing. Saw that on a forum. Has not helped.

Clearly it's widely known about so I will monitor and wait.

Well, I wouldn't call it widely known as I seem to have been the only one that had it and if you have it I can't give you any guidance as to how to get it back to how it should be because mine just fixed itself from what I can tell.

I think the problem with taxiing is not directly related to PMDG. I noticed the same problem with another plane.

It seems to me that the problem with the scenery of the airport where taxiing.

It is worth trying to load PMDG 737 in any default port and check how the taxiing will take place.

It just occurred to me and I'll check it out tonight. Why I had this thought - immediately after updating AAU1 MSFS, my DC3 (Duckworks) got stuck and did not move at LYTV Tivat airport when takeoff from the RW14. This has never happened before the MSFS update.

It seems that the root of the problem is in outdated scenery. I'll check it out.

Nothing to do with it, I'm afraid. This was occurring with default and payware airports alike. Location was irrelevant. And like I have said, the problem went away the next day.

It's a mystery (spooky hands)

Well, I have been keeping up with this thread as well as @Jazz 's woes regarding the steering. So, last night I loaded up my copy of the PMDG 737-600 and started a flight at Orbx EGHI. I have MFG rudder pedals and also a Virpil flight stick with a twist rudder action. I have the rudder pedals assigned to my 737 rudder, and the twist action I have assigned as nose wheel steering axis in the MSFS controller settings. Then, I ensured rudder+tiller was enabled in the 737-600. With this all set, I was able to easily steer around the airport at normal ground operating speeds using my twist action on my Virpil operating the nosewheel steering. For further testing, I DISABLED the twist action in the MSFS controls and ALSO set the 737 to rudder only. When I did this, my steering was atrocious. Not as bad as @Jazz experienced with not being able to steer at all, but it was very difficult to steer and I would have to use differential braking like @flyhalf above. Without differential braking, my rudder only turns were super wide with not much radius. Turning my twist action back on for my Virpil in MSFS control settings and enabling rudder+tiller in the 737 made it all steer great again.

What does all this mean? I don't know for sure. I know not everyone has the option for two rudder like controls with thier flight sim hardware setup, but just trying to provide some more insight and information on the vareties of this issue.

Anyone hear any updates with this from either Asobo or PMDG? I have such a difficult time taxing this thing at any speed over 3 knots. It's starting to drive me nuts. Asobo needs to fix something that wasn't broken before!
