Funnily enough it was only a few days ago that I was messaging back and forth with Paul Springthorpe of Project Freeware. Soon after PF, I talked him into building me a 727 at Dreamfleet. I'd have to go with Eric Ernst too, Pilot-in-command which was further developed into Level. I remember meeting up with Eric and Lou Betti for dinner when I was on holiday in NYC. From that the Dreamfleet 707 was started, before I decided to loose an engine😄 Edited February 14, 20233 yr by Paul Golding adding Cheers Paul Golding
February 14, 20233 yr I'm another one who misses Realair - I had their T Duke and Lancair Legacy, which I probably flew more than any non-bush GA. But it was even during the zenith of P3D that Realair closed their doors, though they supported existing customers through new P3D versions. One of the guys (Sean I think) went on to produce an intriguing DA-62. Another one I miss is Lotus who put out a very decent L-39; it was perfect for throwing around the Mach Loop. I'm not aware of anything else they did, though. Glad that A2A is still in the game - their Day 1 download server had better be ready for a hammering! Edited February 14, 20233 yr by JabbleWok
February 14, 20233 yr Yes the Lotus Simulations L-39 was a nice bird, very innovative in its time (icing for instance). Mike Johnson gave up developing before P3D and never came back. The L-39 was his only aircraft. He had the idea of making a Mig 29 but the project never went through. 22 minutes ago, JabbleWok said: Another one I miss is Lotus who put out a very decent L-39; it was perfect for throwing around the Mach Loop. I seem to remember it was you who tipped me off on that - good call!
February 14, 20233 yr Arianedesign's 737 BBJ - leaving aside the steaming pile of cow dung that they called "Support", it was a nice plane to fly. No 2d-cockpit, and came with a pushback tug you could operate outside the aircraft. In 1998 I bought their Crj 700, which came in a nice CD-Box, complete with the endorsement of a shapely looking female CRJ co-pilot. It also came with a pen! But I don't really miss any of the old developers. Plenty of new blood - FbW, WT, Fenix, etc. - has entered the arena, so I think gaming wise we are in good hands. February 14, 20233 yr Nice to see I'm not the only sentimental sap out here 🙂 Back then every release was so fresh & new...and every year we spent so many hours just dreaming about the possibilities, in our imaginations, that simming might soon bring! Cheers to all the wonderful developers mentioned in this thread who lead the way to where we are today. I miss hearing from some of them, for sure... especially Lou B. who was from my neck of the woods 🙂 Edited February 14, 20233 yr by hangar Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

Kind Regards, Andre I added the Garmin GTN Waypoint name, distance, ETE, and changed some of the airspeed and altitude font sizes for a more readable look. If you use the GTN 750Xi for navigation, the G3X will give you an accurate PFD depiction. Try it! Bert
