Default FSX Cessna 172 Stress Test??

Recommended Posts

Something that has bothered me about the default 172. I slew up to 10,000ft drop full flaps, turn off the engine and go into a nose down dive. The airpeed exceeds 240 but the flaps stay on. I pull out of the dive at $2000ft AGL and to failures. Both Crash Detection and Stress Failures are selected in the Realism drop-down menu. Do something similar in the ultra-light and it breaks. Is the 172 really that rugged or is stress not modeled in this case?Regards,Dick BoleyA PC, an LCD, speakers, CH yoke

I would say it is not modelled correctly. They are tough planes but not THAT tough.
