It is my opinion, that they are in full support of this Airbus forum lockup.Woolco and Feelthere are a disgrace to the flightsim community. They will never have another penny of my cash. I mean, what company locks their support forum when they have another product due for release. absolutely Nuts!!Gerry

Hi Jay,I have the A320 and am running it on Vista. There were many problems and adjustments, but it runs reasonably well. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them, but I am no computer expert.Craig

Are there any FSX Airbusses other than FT/Wilco? I actually bought the FT/Wilco because FS2Crew was releasing for it and I love FS2Crew. I fell in love with the Airbus flying style (but not this vendor's aircraft). Are there any competitors? Any in the works? Thanks,Craigjjs

AirlinerXP and PMDG have a A320 (and hopefully some A318/9 and A321 derivatives) in development.Pat

At least Wilco has a track record whilethe company producing the product you say rules has produced nothing as of yet. Just tryin to figure that out.Craig

Thanks Pat. I didn't know PMDG had an Airbus in development. I know they are developing their 747, 737 and MD11 for FSX.Craigjjs

Seems to me lots of folks are getting unnecessarily hot under the collar :)FeelThere announced the closure for the weekend in advance, and also pointed folks at the Wilco problem report form, so support was available. This has been a holiday weekend in some countries in Europe so maybe the main developer has been getting some well needed vacation before the release of Vol 2. I have followed the FeelThere forums for some time, and they show a genuine desire to help the users and fix the problems. Got to remember that several of the developers were well known and respected freeware designers before they turned professional :)Lots of us are still buying GoFlight equipment. They have a forum on their site - great - but GoFlight don't ever answer any messages :(--Bryn

"I have followed the FeelThere forums for some time, and they show a genuine desire to help the users and fix the problems. Got to remember that several of the developers were well known and respected freeware designers before they turned professional"Granted, they might be good guys, but this is a business tactic that will do them no good at all. And it's not the first time they have acted like this,During the Airbus release flub a few months back, they posted that anyone starting a thread that mentioned difficulties with downloading products they had already paid for would have their thread deleted and be banned from the forums. Excuse me?It's like they're trying to PO the paying customer. What are they thinking?

I recently contacted Wilco to inform them that I had reported them to the EU trading standards commission that they where advertising full onboard systems in their AB1 product. I received a reply from Mr Belvaux of Wilco. Below is part of this reply."We apologise if our marketing is going a bit too far by saying that "All onboard systems are modelled" but everyone knows that marketing is always one foot too far compared to applications actual functionalities"Amazing.Gerry

Dave,<< It is to FeelTheres' credit that they did not remove negative postings from their Airbus forum and left them there for all to see. Dave>> Not true, I recall reading a negative post or two, which were removed later on....I dont know the reason behind this forum lockdown, I suspect it is contract related between Feelthere and Wilco. I hope Feelthere can sort this out, they seem like bunch of nice guys.. with a questionable publisher...Happy landingsJohn

Sounds like that other overpriced, overhyped and undersupported developer of 737s.On their forum Wilco say to people with Vista having problems that the A320 was developed on XP "but we are flying it without problems on Vista".Any user of Vista with problems is sent the exact same lines of text advising them to "allow administrator rights on FSX" and to "download VB5" regardless of the fact that these do not actually fix the numerous CTD's you get with the product. It seems "support" for Wilco involved simply cutting and pasting a few lines of text as a standard reply and providing a few forms to fill out.Closing the forums prevents experienced customers from finding their own solutions and helping others.I think an explanation is overdue.Buyers beware!I think all flightsim sites should carry a header in this respect.Well done Avsim for leading the way. Many people buy without researching support options and someone should guide them-I think with self regulation, the simming community can effectively force companies who provide unfinished products out of business if they do not intend to develop them satisfactorily.Jay

Further to Mr Belvaux of Wilco's last statement to me by email on all onboard systems modelled on the AB1. I have now received this further statement from him.Dear Sir, "We are pleased to inform you that we have taken your comment into consideration and that the corresponding product pages have been amended accordingly. The paragraph will now read as "The exceptional realism of this simulation has been achieved by thorough professionals who recreated -in every details- nearly all of the onboard systems, interiors, sound environments and flight models... Their fine work being then validated by over qualified Airbus Captains and Instructors." Don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions or comments"At least this is something for any future purchasers who will know what they are getting from Wilco.RegardsGerry

>IMO, anytime technical problems etc. are diverted from a>forum to e-mail addresses or problem report forms it is to>mask the problems from being "viewed" by others.>>Not a good idea ... IMOHere here...The feelThere/Wilco combo really should be avoided. It's kinda like food from a street vendor in Kolkata, Bangkok or Mexico City - it smells good and looks good on the cart, but not long after you'll seriously regret it.The products seem impressive and promising, but very little of what Wilco has touched ever pans out to be worthwhile.Of course, your mileage may vary, but my final verdict says to not give money to Wilco/feelThere.
