Its interesting that the screen is showing only 8gigs of vram. It should be displaying 24gigs if they used a RTX3090. Maybe they only compared a 3080? Anyone else notice that.

I believe that was how much vram is in use, not how much the card has.

Ahh, you are right.

On a side note... I saw William Shatner over the weekend at the Portland Comic Con. And I kept waiting for him to just start yelling "Khaaaannnnn". Lol.

There were a lot of Star Trek and Back to the Future cast. Including Christopher Lloyd who was of 'course Doc Brown but also a great Klingon Commander in Star Trek III.

As I'm sure you're aware, William Shatner has had many business interests over the years. One of his ventures was into ladies undergarments. He called the line 'Shatner Panties'. He couldn't figure out why they were a flop.

Everyone here seems to be trending towards the 4090/13900k combo, but after a lot of reading my decision was that for my 2k simming, there was essentially no need to go there, especially with my 13600k overclocked to 5.5ghz

Its funny though. I remember, oh, about 30 seconds ago, when the 3090 was the fastest thing on the planet, and nobody could even get one without murderous scalper prices.....

Plenty of 4090 and 4080 in the UK.

As strange as it is, the rtx 4070 is rumored to have 10,12 and 16gb versions, but slower than the 4070ti. the only advantage to a 3090 is vram, it doesn't have dlss v3 and a few other updated features on the 4000 series.
