X-Plane 12, A review no one ever tried ...

Featured Replies

Ground physics are, for sure, something that between the latest versions of XP11 and XP12 got to a level that is really way ahead !

This applies for instance to taildraggers too, and  I have been having great simulation moments dealing with a few free ww2 fighters I got from the .Org and are extraordinary both inflight and on the ground.

I expected a few upvotes, but so many 😉 ... It shows me that the X-Plane users first of all are interested in the simulation of flight/planes/physics, and only subsequently "flying over their own house" TM😄. On the channel of the guy who made the above video, there are a lot of other exciting videos.

Indeed I am one of those typical XP users 🙂

But I miss the level of detail MFS provided and I used for some debriefs of my glider tasks. The aerodrome I fly from most often, LPMN, and all of the Alentejo around it are so accurately modelled in MFS that I do miss that in XP12, and there's also a Portugal scenery for Condorsoaring, by a fellow glider pilot, with very basic scenery, but maybe one day, after XP12 get's cruise speed, I'll try orthos again and see how it goes...

Yeah ... Ortho4XP is no rocket science. There are even so many videos out there how to use it. You can even batch download several tiles at a time, so you start it once, go drinking a coffee or two and tadaa ...
