Never heard of this! Am I too sensitive, in thinking this is a bit cruel?

I watched that at the time it was originally broadcast. Quite how they convinced the "astronauts" that they were in orbit when full Earth gravity was active is beyond me.

I saw this when it first came out on UK tv.  I’m in no doubt that the laugh was on the viewers - the “passengers” were in on the act.  Nobody could be so gullible.  The props were like something out of an early Dr Who.

As I said, I've never heard of this before. It seems almost bizarrely elaborate, and I hope the "volunteers" didn't have their lives disrupted too badly on false pretenses.
