Current status of the FSS E175, is it any better?

I just had an idea:

I'm going to open up a restaurant and call it "Early Acess", so if you order a Pizza, I'll bring you a mozarella stick  and the bill. If you start complaining and ask: where's the rest of the Pizza, I'll say: the Pizza is early access, i got you in on the ground floor. The rest is coming soon!😄

Thanks a lot for your help, Gr8av8r. I tried to do that, but don't have the option available. After some searching, I found a thread in the Arosoft support forum that one apparently has to first uninstall the plane before that option becomes available.

My goodness, I have never had a plane with so convoluted information ...

I think it is only fair to also mention good things when you encounter it: once I found all the information needed to set the plane up, it was not a problem anymore to get the plane going. I am on my first planned flight with it and really enjoy the experience. All works as expected, airplane and sounds are very nice, and frame rates (55fps) are actually better than for any other jet I use. That was a very pleasant surprise. It is work-in-progress, but already very flyable and full of features. And one can see which features will be added in the future, so compliments to the dev team.

I have only one suggestion: put a documentation folder in the FSS-E175 community folder with links to the online documentation and road map, and add an explanation about the experimental branch. That would not be a lot of work and would have saved me a lot of headaches.

Uninstallation and installation only takes a few minutes. That's not a big problem

I bought FSS a week ago and I am very satisfied. The plane is good and easy to fly. I have only one problem - ILS landing. How can I do this? Button APP does not work. How do I turn on ILS CATII Landing?

I just read about it on the FSS Discord channel: it is still in beta, but the next experimental update will have an improved ILS system.

A new update is out. 0.9.7. I have faith in these guys. Even if their prose is strange.

"We almost don’t dare to say it but it seems that we have solved the ILS intercept problem."

But the FMC is borked for me.

I tried 9.7 last night.  ILS worked every time.  LNAV, not so much.  Still occasionally takes random turns off course and will wind up in another country if not corrected.  On another note, GSX config file is worthless unless you think passengers falling out of the nose gear compartment is cool to watch.  I do not.

I don't know,  sounds interesting to me...

Did 3 more flights tonight, longest being KGSP to KPHL.  LNAV and ILS worked perfectly for runway 27R.  Loving this bird more by the day.  Would I love to have VNAV?  Sure, but it didn't exist for years and we all managed.  This is perfectly flyable, looks great, very good FPS and I'm looking forward to the improvements.

A certain streamer still seems to slander the product. Got to laugh at the comments people put to him. He really doesn’t know when to stop.

So 2 months after release it finally turned from "no systems depth, bad FPS" to "no systems depth, acceptable FPS"? I'm sure this achievement was only possible thanks to the unwailing early adopters and their well invested money.

Now, now. Current state: Flyable but cockpit refresh rate must be set on high or it's not. ILS now works but there is no glide slope indicator. WIP to be sure.

This thing is nothing more than an alpha. Don´t buy. Easy as that,

Noticed it’s on sale for just over £20 on contrail.

Any users recommend on its current state?

The fact that it's now on sale kind of grates on me as I bought in at the original price. Not good. I'm wondering if they are about to give up on it? I'd say it's now in a very basic default like state but with no VNAV. I don't understand why VNAV seems to be so difficult for developers to implement?
