The fact that it's now on sale kind of grates on me as I bought in at the original price. Not good. I'm wondering if they are about to give up on it? I'd say it's now in a very basic default like state but with no VNAV. I don't understand why VNAV seems to be so difficult for developers to implement?

Everyone in the FS community was warned about this sooooooooooo 🤷‍♂️

At this point they could literally pull on the logic within the now default WT G1000 and G3000 for VNAV.

Totally agree. I haven't ordered it but I can see that ticking off the people that have already paid for it. You really shouldn't put discounts on things that are early access.

Because until recently (Thank You WT) sim based default VNAV was non existent. Hence why Devs who actually care about accuracy have been doing complete rewrites to get it right. Some are going to get it right eventually .. some are going to piggyback on their old code.. Some have licensed code and adopted it etc.

I do not know what FSS is doing to get their VNAV implemented but that stuff is not easy or else every dev would have it nicely implemented.

Lol .. i remember that thread and the way some among us went on a crusade in the defense of the dev...

Oh well .. hope they enjoy the product in the end. Still a wont buy until i can evaluate the completely finished product. I don't do early access sales. Call me old school but for me a dev needs to have their development finances straightened out and have the product in at least release candidate stage before involving the consumer.

Warned yes, but its the way things are going devs are starting to do all early access things and if people don't support then we can't have nice things....

why ?  theres probably been at least 20 plus or so pay to beta products called a variety of snazzy buzzwords over the years, very few of them ever coming to bear good fruit,  on fs9,fsx,p3d,xplane and ms2020.

The community has bought them (myself included),  developers run a runner , and people havnt complained about it, and the devs have made good money off it, so they continued to do it.

Its only now people are waking up to it,  about 15 years too late. Its hard to see whats happened.

Its very simple I value how my money is spent. I don't buy on a promise. I buy based on what's in front of me and if it is good value at that very moment i will do so. I also think that if a dev is asking for money without at least a 95% finished product there is something wrong with the financing side of their business case. Those are black and white lines for me. Everyone else can do as they please as they are free to do but you will never see me buy an early access product.

Just the way im wired i make no apologies.

So if QualityWings did the same. Even TFDI did the same but did not receive anything for a while. Aerosoft could be another....

Yes but what's so difficult about VNAV? With every developer it's the last thing they manage to do and get right. FBW is an example. JustFlight also avoid any plane with it like the plague. I seem to be able to descend manually without a problem. It's simple maths?

Not everyone wants to "manually descend"

VNAV and especially RNAV and all the other variations of RNAV are a feature set that some simmers (myself included) seek out in a product  and use pretty much every flight (For example, for me although an excellent product otherwise FBW's neo remains parked for me because they haven't yet fully implemented RNAV). VNAV Its not just descending.. Its also accounting for Cost index /Fuel Burn/ climb/descent rates /N1 values / all while having your aircraft's flightmodel abide by and respect constraints set out on the STAR and the approach.

Nothing about that math is simple

Here's the point, fly this one with your VS knob and the Asobo LNAV they're still using and let me know how you make out.

Biggest thing is performance for me with this one, if the terrible performance was fixed I'll buy it.
