Panel help

Recommended Posts

Guest storfman

Hello, after installing fsx sp1, the instrument panel is blinking and redrawing itself over the whole screen. I can hit the w key to reduce the instruments to just the main dials but they do the same thing, making it hard to read them.My first instinct was to reinstall or update direct x and so I did 9.0c i think, still the same results. I also reinstalled fsx ( which works fine without sp1 ) and sp1,still the same. I have also turned off Tool Tips and Flying Tips, change. Any help would be appreciated.thank you muchMy hardware:Gateway m305crv laptop with 2.0 Mhz Celeron1g of ram

One of the things you did NOT do quite frankly should have been the first...Rename your fsx.cfg file to fsx.cfg.oldStart FSX and allow it to build a new fsx.cfg file. The fsx.cfg file (and many others) are not replaced by a reinstall of FSX or SP1.Ninety-nine times out a hundred, that will solve most problems users have.Reinstalling FS(any version) should always be the very LAST thing you try.

Thank you for your help. I have done what you instructed but the results are the same. I also noticed the virtual cockpit has a similar issue, the instruments are overlapping and are not fixed in place.I have also reinstalled the video drivers but the results are the same.Thanx again.
