Unable to see instruments with sun directly behind me

Recommended Posts

Guest papatango

I am flying the default Piper Cub. When the sun directly behind me, I can't see the instruments. With the advent of something called sunglasses, I think that this is unrealistic. I am sure a pilot would not want to lose site of their instruments. Is there a way to turn off this effect? Thanks,Scott

It happens in real life.and why do you need instruments when you can look outside and fly like in real life. The sound of the engine should give you an indication of your power (RPM) and with the attitude of the plane you should have an approximate airspeed.:)Manny

Yeah I hate when that happens.. ;-)Sometimes you have to actually cup your hand over the instrument to be able to read it.I could be wrong-but if you use the 2d panel instead of the 3d won't it go away?http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpgForum Moderatorhttp://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/177724.jpg

Wow, your VC has proper shadows cast by the plane's frame! :D Pretty sharp textures, too. And absolutely love that HDR lighting you got going on the left.I'm guessing that shot's from Reality 1.0? How's the FPS? ;)
