Can an HP Reverb G2 be repaired?

Hope this isn't regarded as off-topic.

I've had this for two years working flawlessly, then suddenly it became a bit flaky in starting and shortly afterwards died completely (no white light).

Yes, I've tried reseating the cable, different USB and video ports and checked that the power supply is working.

I contacted HP who have said there are no repair options for it, at least from them.

So... can they be repaired, and if they can is there anyone in Australia who I can contact?

Or am I SOL on an A$855 unit?

It’s probably the cable, as they’re quite weak and are known to fail. I’d try buying a replacement cable to see if that works. The headset itself is usually fairly sturdy.

No white light suggests the unit isn’t getting any power at all, which would suggest a broken cable. I had a similar issue and a cable replacement fixed it.

Which reminds me: even though my headset is working perfectly at the moment, I've got to go ahead and order a replacement cable so that I have one on hand "just in case".
