WU13 Hawaii!!! About time!

Recommended Posts

I'm so anxious to get my hands on WU13. I've always had a love for the Hawaiian Islands and hope Asobo/MSFS does a good job at updating this area. Still waiting for a proper PHNL and hopefully a Samscene Honolulu.

Does anyone know when WU13 is expected to be out?

World Update 13 will be free to all users of Microsoft Flight Simulator and is currently scheduled for release in April, with a specific release date TBC.

Yes, probably towards the end of April now if it makes it.  Tuesday the 25th of April may be a candidate.

While I am really appreciative of the World Updates and all the lovely extra scenery we get for free, I look forward more to the Sim Updates, with bug fixes and extra sim features added.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Wow! I hope that with such a relatively concise area they will go the extra mile and make it absolutely stunning in all aspects....their masterpiece!!

Eventually I'd think ?, a update for the US Atlantic coast ?, for instance Norfolk Naval Station/Va. Beach, then Kennedy Space Center needs updating, other areas as well.

Lol, “WU13 Hawaii”???

From MSFS: “The 13 countries being covered by Asobo and Orbx, who are working on the update together in a partnership, are Micronesia, Fiji, Indonesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.”

I’m pretty sure that the single Hawaiian airport they’re also including (Kona) doesn’t quite justify calling it the “Hawaii” update. 😉

The should name the release, "Microsoft Flight Edition"  😉

No, that was all about Hawaii. And this is hardly about Hawaii at all, Avsim thread titles aside.

Also, there’s no Wedding Yacht mission. 🙂

The USA has had more than enough attention time to move on to other country's

I very happily fly with entirely default scenery -- with one tiny exception: a replacement for the totally flat Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center.

Yes, I really hope they will focus on SE Asia! That area is needed badly!

This will be the third time Hawaii was been touched. The 2 US world updates did stuff with Hawaii, though not a lot.

USA Update 1 added some landmarks. USA Update 2 added new satellite imagery to at least O‘ahu. One of the two added new elevation data to at least O'ahu.

Based on the Q&A it sounds like the rest of the islands will get new elevation data.
