The Fenixsim A320 Is A Work Of Art...

Recommended Posts

In all fairness to the OP he didn’t start the comparison cr@p - that began with the hilarious statements by @altenae in post #4.

Miss IAE, sharklets and 319/321. Not even mentioning NEO.

How many years you want to wait for something proper for all those variants? Years they (Fenix) are not going to deliver some trash like Captain Sim or Latan VFR rubbish to make a quick buck they want to actually deliver something with some value. Just  look up how long it took FS Labs to get where they are from some of the folks praising it here even they had a rough start (especially some controrversy (installs)  a few years back and it took them 2  years to release a Sharklet after announcing that project.

I joined Fenix' discord but can't seem to find a support channel or a discussion channel where you can ask questions - is there a Fenix forum located somewhere else?

It's like that for a reason.

Can you enlighten me?

or... most probably, because it's wrong / bug / has to be fixed... As it is it doesn't allow me to go through the standard Airbus SOPs

What do you expect with these kind of topics??

Also I said within a year, when they have there own Neo model, it will surpass the Fenix!!

Let's wait till then and see if my statement was indeed hilarious!!

Yeah ok all hype. When are they going to release the A380? these guys have regular jobs its going to take a while. No need to get into  all that here. BTW the Fenix don't  model the NEO but its one of the best airliner models of flightsim.

Did you link your discord to your Fenix account? You need to do that via the Fenix webpage to get access to the support channels.

The Fenix has some minor bugs, obviously: The NWS disconnect, some engine performance, the weather radar, and a silly mistake that you cannot tune 123.080 into the COM, plus some others. But those are really minor compared to the FMS bugs in the FBW. I recently flew it and liked its overall behavior. But the FMS is really off.

123.080 is not a valid aviation frequency. With standard 25 KHz spacing, the closest you can get is 123.075. With the new 8.33 KHz spacing (which is not yet used in North America), you can have 123.083, but not 123.080

Actually, according to EUR Doc 011,

Guard bands: For 121.500: Channels 121.475, and 121.525, are not assignable; and For 123.100: Channels 123.065, 123.075, 123.080, 123.085, 123.115, 123.125, 123.130, and 123.135 are not assignable, except for ATIS on channels 123.080 and 123.130.

Somewhere in the discord is the reason. Like I said FSLabs did the same before.

Bummer 😕

I don't use Discord, so, I'll never know the why 🙂

But it's wrong, and as far as I remember, the FSLABS 320 and 319 did it correctly?

In Europe, where 8.33 KHz spacing is permitted, you can have 123.083 MHz. Depending on the COM control head, that might display as 123.080. The extra 300 Hz in the least significant digit won’t really matter. Here in the US, 8.33 KHz spacing is not used (yet) but my company aircraft have 8.33 KHz capability. I’ll set one of the COMs to 8.33 KHz spacing and see if it displays 123.080 or 123.083.
