GSX at small GA airports - is it an improvement?

Featured Replies

I fly primarily from GA airports with few or no scheduled flights.   Occasionally I fly out of regional airports. I fly almost exclusively single engine GA prop or turbo prop planes.  I never fly any kind of paying passenger plane.

Will GSX add anything to my experience/immersion at places like KSEE  KSMF  KTIW  KYKM?

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D  / MSI X870 Tomahawk Mobo / 64 GB DDR5 memory / RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB VRAM / AORUS FO48U 4k display
NVMe for Drive C, an NVMe device dedicated to Flight Sim 2024 and a separate NVMe device for Flight Sim 2020 and an NVMe dedicated to 500GB of addons managed by AddonsLinker   / 1 GB Comcast Xfinity Internet connection / HP Reverb G2 / Tobii 5 Head & Eye Tracking

I have the FSX version and with the exception of the fuel and pushback IMHO it doesn't do much for GA.

I mean you aren't going to use jetways, catering, passenger boarding/unboarding, cargo loading, etc..  However, someday you may decide to fly commercial and it does add to the experience with those.

i wouldnt bother , as good as it is for tubeliners its a lot of grief too, and  i think there are better suited addons out there for GA

ROG Crossair Hero X670e , 9900X, TUF 4090 , X4 NVME's. OS  2TB 980 Pro , MSFS  2TB WD Black , Kington Fury 64GB ram ( 6000) Corsair RM1000 PSU, Artic Freezer iii 360 AIO  . Phanteks P600s Case ,TCL QM8B 50" 120 Hz  TV,second 24 inch screen for charts you tube etc, and 11" touch screen for the EFB. Warthog Stick and TCA Captains throttle ( full pack)  Velocity 1 Rudder Pedals , extreme3D for the Tiller,Streamdeck XL x2 / Streamdeck +/Streamdeck mini because i like pressing buttons

I use GSX in MSFS with the TBM930.  If I have a favourite parking spot on a field I visit a few times, I'll setup a passenger walking route from a suitable FBO entrance to the aircraft.  That allows me to board and de-board passengers.

I get a real kick from seeing my passengers walking to the aircraft while I'm finalising flight preparation in the left seat.  Just don't look back as they get into the aircraft as their heads jut up through the fuselage!

I understand that not everyone can suspend disbelief to the same extent as I do or with the same ease, but it might work for you.

We should agitate to get Virtuali to spread a little of the love he's lashed out on tubeliners to GA ops.

Regards.

Paul Davies.
