My understanding is that Captain Sim's next project will have neither interior nor exterior. The good news is that it's very easy on fps.

Brilliant David,

I just choked on my coffee 🤣

I'm just genuinely amazed they tracked it down so fast and nuked it. The Disney lawyers are really on point these days.

I wonder how much money they made before it was taken down. Hopefully this doesn't become a new trend for them.

Just wait til Disney hear about this, I can hear the legal pens in action already!

...and they acted fast!

Beggars belief that CS thought he/they could get away with this in the first place, but going on their past products I guess that's no surprise.

Disney is famous for being spectacularly litigious towards anyone/anything that even looks like it might infringe on their copyrights, they've basically written US copyright law for quite a while, and they've spent decades running their own government in Florida, so that surprising part is that it took them that long to act.

I would imagine / hope that the Marketplace admins are also getting some ‘advice’ at the moment.

I will be very critical on their flightmodel for this as I've flown one of these in real life....

What do you mean by "flight model"? There is no atmosphere!

IIRC Disney has an email address for submitting reports of IP infringement and I suspect it will have received a number of reports about this from simmers who aren't Captain Sim's greatest fans.

My comment was more about the Florida land settlement. 21 years after the final descendant of Charles III dies.

Their lawyers, of course, are excellent. CaptainSim must've gotten the full legal treatment to pull it down so quickly. Good for Disney, in this case I'm rooting for the megacorp, not the small scam outfit.
