I wonder how it will compare with the P3d version.

Not to downplay the excellent realair version in it's time - but just from the screenshots alone I'd say night and day difference favoring Black Square.

Yes, I have to agree. We all have to wit to we see the final product but from the pictures and descriptions - from a developer with an excellent track record -- this iteration is several steps ahead of the old Real Air ones. But, really, what else would we expect.  It has been over a decade since they were released and the capabilities of both the simulation platform and third-party developers has risen markedly -- I am not so sure it makes sense to compare.

These will replace the 414, that I so thoroughly enjoyed, in my active hanger, not likely to get much more use.

I also think the fact that being a product of a modern platform, with a more modern SDK improves aircrafts beyond what old products were capable of. The EFB alone, the details and the underlying system / engine detail it brings, is a big step forward. Not to talk about the 3D modelling, textures, more advanced sound engine and capabilities etc. that's the stuff that makes a simulation come alive.

Th'dude at Black Square had said that they were not gonna have any more videos until shortly before the release, at which point they would allow the YT MSFS content creators who had early access to finally post their review videos.  So with the appearance of a review video, the release finally appears imminent.

Can't wait to fly the Duke again.  I had a ball flying the Turbine Duke all around the PNG Orbx scenery back in FSX days since it makes for such a great overpowered bush plane,  I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about it just made it seem to fit in, ya know?

They're waiting for the public release of SU15, but the latest beta build has brought some issues. It was scheduled for next week, but don't hold your breath!

Is that Kokoda? I did the same in FSX. Duke into Kokoda, Tapini and that other special add -on up the creek about 50 miles south-east of Kokoda.

I have an unpublished video on my hd of me taking off from TAP in the Duke (maybe B60). So yes it would be great to go back especially as they all included by default now?

@Tim-HH and I have been hard at work on the duke liveries for quite a while.  Some will be in the package and some will be available at the .To

Like this incredibly gorgeous piston livery from Tim!  The version included with the package with have dynamic registration too

Seems like every YouTuber between Hawaii and New Zealand (Eastbound of course) has released preview videos within the last couple of hours.

Microsobo: Get the word not allowed 🚫 beta out now, no more messing around with updates like the last one:

Known Issue

We are aware of the WASM issue preventing you from flying many add-on planes, as well as the performance and stability reports on Xbox. The team is working to address these issues for the next beta build.

Peripherals

Various peripheral fixes

Fixed Default mapping missing for older VirtualFly peripherals

SDK

Devmode

Fixed the User Lights tool

Fixed scaling with the gizmo in the Scenery Editor

The last one a few days ago didn’t make much sense either.

It’s getting silly. I’m getting more increasingly outspoken about the prolonged beta (yes, I’m looking at you, iniBuild’s Neo…).

EDIT: all right, the WASM issue is probably relevant. But why this late in the beta?

Finally it’s been released to YT-bers? I’m confused 🤷🏻‍♂️

That’s my initial thought as well. But the beta, the beta… We don’t have a release date yet. Or do we?

My take on the WASM Bug is it is an unintended outcome of an unrelated change either upstream or downstream from the WASM code, and is impacting the WASM performance.

My knowledge of WASM is as limited as my knowledge of… anthropomorphic animals. I have a feeling it’s important though.

Just outstanding sir!

Will you please consider putting this incredible paint scheme on the piston variant as well?
