Where do I adjust the spot plane camera distance?

Recommended Posts

Guest

When I am at 1.00 zoom with the shockwave P-40 the aircraft is very very small, and I want it to nearly fill my view like all my other aircraft do. How can I move the camera closer to the aircraft, so that it nearly fills my view at 1.00 zoom? I've looked all through the cfg and have not found this setting.

Can only find a Zoom-Setting there. Nothing to change the distance.

OK, yes you are correct. Here is a post from a user from another forum:"There is always a way to correct how close or far away you are from an airplane in spot view. Back in FS9 the only way you could do it was in the view options. In FSX however you can actually use the default key assignements ctrl+= or ctrl+-. It works wonderfully, and changes the whole perspective of the airplane in spot view as well."Scott.

I'm trying this now. I see an effect with shift= and shift-, but not the other ones.

I've always wanted to do wide angle shots, but of course you need to be right on your subject for those.
