SP2 Download Size?

Recommended Posts

Yes, today FSX runs on DX9 no matter where it runs.SP2 will contain the DX9 and the DX10 fixes/features.There will be a UI checkbox, and an app restart will be required after you check it to get into DX10 mode. Similarly, unchecking it will require an app restart to get back into DX9 mode.Sorry, no hot-switching.

Hi Phil. Is this another upgrade that requires a stock install of FSX? I surely hope not as most of us have made extensive changes. Thanks, regards, Bob.

We can make no guarantees with add-ons or mods installed. Anything that modifies a base file ( like the texture mods ) needs to be backed out. Some add-ons will be ok, some will not.Certain code add-ons will be problematic, the same ones that had issues with SP1 for instance are likely to need an update. The best thing to do is make a restore point, try installing SP2 without removing the add-ons and see. If it works, great. If it doesnt then you need to start backing things out. Usually scenery and aircraft are ok with the caveat of gauge dlls.
