May 7, 20233 yr Preview shots on FSElite I've got Orbx v1 and I like it. Whether I think it's worth paying more (albeit not a huge amount more), I'll decide once it's been reviewed. There seems to be a trend now of devs charging for upgrades when users have been used to free upgrades in the past. Opinions vary on that development of course. There's a few entertaining Youtube videos of real life landings at London that don't go smoothly. Nothing deadly, but 'wild'. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Not the easiest airport to handle. I imagine it’s only for pilots certified to land there. Bit like Madeira. Ray (Cheshire, England). May 7, 20233 yr The only official MSFS asset I don't keep installed in Asobo's Madeira, because it interferes with the Orbx version. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Free upgrades have not been universal and I wonder at the perception and complaint that a developer should completely redevelop an airport from the ground up, as this has been and yet do all of that for nothing, when those who bought FSX, P3D v1, P3D v2 and P3D v3 were quite happy to pay the full price for each "upgrade" without protest. May 8, 20233 yr Most of the OrbX airports I have do not show as 'starred' on the world map. Same with Aerosoft. It's annoying. I've submitted tickets to both companies but just get palmed off.
May 8, 20233 yr I haven't started buying scenery yet in MSFS, but as a current owner of most of the UK2000 stuff for P3D I'd expect they'll be close enough that I would personally support the independent developer and get Gary's UK2000 version. Dean Stringer

My stabilised final approach speed was supposed to be 142 knots, but suddenly I was pitching over at that 5.5 degree angle, and the speed increased to 160 knots very quickly! I somehow managed to get it down after disengaging the autopilot, reducing power to idle, and deploying the speedbrakes!! Needless to say, this was only for a bit of fun. I do not have a habit of landing the 777 at EGLC Edited May 9, 20233 yr by Christopher Low Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
