what is Fancon?

Hi there,"FanCon" is the name for this year's AVSIM conference in Seattle. Goes to show though that the name is not a great choice because it does sound more like a Hollywood celebrity show and has no reference to FS or aviation in it, unless "FAN" stands for Fake-Aviation Nerds or something like that :-wedge Then again, maybe there will be a red carpet event at FanCon with paparazzi taking upskirt pictures of Tom while he climbs out of his rented limousine (-: Not that Microsoft/ACES has better marketing staff: their "DevCon" event sounds disturbingly like something Dubya and Condi chat about over lunch in the White House and thus may generate the interest of certain US agencies. However, the FBI agents with their fake pilot sunglasses should blend in well with the rest of us :-kewl Some things you just should not miss...Cheers, Holger

All being well. I will be there Friday Saturday and Sunday. Iam looking forward to putting faces to many names I have seen on the forums and designsNigelVancouver
