4k Monitor recommendation please

Recommended Posts

I currently have the Samsung g5 2k 144hz monitor.

AMD 7950x3d

3080ti soon the get the 4090

I am not satisfied with the picture not being sharp and crisp. As I have seen in some others in their videos.

I have tried tinkering with  nvidia settings

msfs settings and user.cfg settings

monitor settings

GeForce experience also

and 🫤 washed out looking sim.

thanks

mike

Washed out looking sim:

Try calibrating the monitor and also play with the nVidia filter settings in the GeForce Experience software. If I am not mistaken you can adjust clarity there as well.
A 2K monitor should serve you very well indeed unless there is something wrong with the panel itself. How long have you had it for?

Cheers

TCL 65" HDR 4K. Awesome experience!

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

LG C2 42" or they also have a 48" . Don't have to look anywhere else.

@mikeymike, this Dell is worthy of consideration. https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/dell-ultrasharp-43-4k-usb-c-hub-monitor-u4323qe/apd/210-bfis/monitors-monitor-accessories

Alternatively, given colour accuracy is important to you consider a BenQ 4K 32" professional display. The beauty of these is native 30Hz. I've had my BenQ for 5 years and it's superb.

@mikeymikeSpyder comes in three variants. I use the Pro which is absolutely fine. If you want accurate colour’s it’s perfect.

My 4.5 year-old PD3200U still shows 100% sRGB. 👍

Colours, contrast and brightness are spot on. No colour bias either. And if you get a BenQ they have a hub of HDMI inputs making connection a doddle.

I have my eye on the Samsung g9 I 🤔

That’s an extremely wide monitor. Distortion is likely near the edges. And it’s still 1440 vertical pixels. You really should look at 2160 vertical.

I have both an Odyssey G9 and a 48" OLED TV. Both are great and can deliver 120Hz, but I prefer the OLED panel due to the deep blacks.

I've been running an 48" LG C Series OLED and it is a great match for MSFS.
