I'm beginning to feel distinctly unfaithful at the moment. I'm really having a ball playing with XP12 right now. I symlinked to a couple more bits and pieces from my XP11 scenery, and took my new 319 out for a circuit around KSEA. Got my Traffic Global working, so lots of activity around (although nothing particularly grabbed in these shots), and I'm actually enjoying the 319 immensely - even if I haven't even got my controllers re-mapped yet. I'm used to ignoring all those switches and gauges but at the moment I can't even set the flaps! (see, you really don't need to be a pilot to enjoy simming)

So, out from KSEA, off to Mt Pointy, and back in and down at Boeing Field (is that what it's called?)

Great fun!

I really can't believe how good these two sims are today. And for my purposes and tastes, XP12 with TrueEarth and MSFS when the PG is being served up unmelted are pretty much equals.

As Mr Perry might say - "could it BE any better?"

Lovely shots!!!

For me there is only one.I don't like MSFS at all and I have no problem with that and no problem saying it.

I don't know exactly for what exact reason but I take enormous pleasure flying on XP12.

We see in your photos that you fell in love... you don't even have to write it anymore. This is the incredible effect that XP12 provides.fly a few more weeks with XP and then return to MSFS you will feel the effect better...

Thanks Filou, coming from the master that is appreciated! I'm not quite as disappointed in MSFS as you, I still find some good places to be in it, but I will certainly be spending much more time in XP now. I got XP12 when it came out but apart from a couple of test flights I never gave it much time until I saw some of your recent shots, so thank you again for the inspiration.

Nice shots Andy but I'm spoiled on MSFS now especially with the photogrammetry.

Cheers Jack. It's the PG that is both a blessing and a curse for me. When it's good it's wonderful, but when it's bad it's truly ugly and destroys the whole thing for me.

I agree Andy but at the end of the day it’s still a desktop simulation.  It’s fun and enjoyable but personally I try to keep real life in the foreground.

Totally agree. Shame a few more folk on here can't retain a bit more perspective but I better not start off down that path <grin>

...🙂.... Nothing wrong...so great to see today MSFS/XP/FS9/FSX/DCS all represented...in the screenshots here...

Very nice set, Andy...! Always have had a special affinity for the A319...When I had the Aerosoft series, this is the variant I recall flying the most...!
