>The carriers are available outside of the mission with>Acceleleration stock.>>Not going to spoil things as it's a bit of an easter egg. So>thats all I will way on this matter.>>The only thing that needs sorting out is carriers in MP. Still>trying to get my head round this part :)Well, there's another download in the AvSim library that enables the existing (pre-XPack) carrier in MP, by using it as a user-flyable (driveable?) aircraft just as beatle mentions above.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxac&DLID=109192So the question of the day would be, does XPack simply enhance the existing carrier through additional code functionality (meaning it's all in the sim engine and not the .cfg, .mdl, or .air files etc).Anyway since it's steerable and responds to throttle input, all it needs is one person (such as the host) to drive it around for everyone else to land on in a MP session since it "drops right in" (pardon the pun)..... ;)FSX_MPCarrier_00.jpgFSX_MPCarrier_01.jpgFSX_MPCarrier_02.jpg

MannyI can speculate...that if the carrier has a GUID then it could conceivably be placed anywhere in the FS world as a scenery object in free flight. However if the arrester cables and catapult and all of that are in some .dll then those functions may not work when it is placed as a scenery object.Again, that's all speculation. I don't know how they implemented the carrier.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

The flying aircraft carrier makes me think of Sky Harbor, with dozens of bi-panes rigged with radium cannons raining destruction upon the Chancellor's zeppelin fleet, my best girl Daisy by my side, Sparks the mechanic demanding that I bring my ride back in one piece, Cookie the cook complaining that there isn't enough peppers to make his special Airman's chili, and off in the horizon, the sun winks off of the metal wings of Femma Fatale, the one-eyed, long-legged, raven-haired sometimes menace perhaps future love interest and her fleet of loyal battle drones...I guess I miss Crimson Skies more than I thought. Hi FolksJust to clarify any misconceptions posted, and answer the initial posters question.Brian said 'currently'.FSXA liftable objects are fully workable outside of the mission environment.See attachment of liftable objects at EGNL.Just as AI & pilotable carriers are landable.HTHATBPaulhttp://www.basys.f9.co.uk/resources/images..._sig_500x94.jpghttp://www.fs-odg.com
