Absolutely, and thanks for that great list and putting everything in perspective. Good to hear from actual experts with reasoned thoughts around here, very refreshing.  All I can say is despite the noise of the overly excited and entitled, there is a great silent majority who're able to appreciate the vast strides MSFS has taken since release in 2020.  And I guess stepping back further and even considering all the overreactions and wild speculations, it's clear that there are thousands who're passionate about MSFS, so that is goodness overall 🙂

How do you know WT haven't been helping with 2024? I don't think they've said anything on the matter.

I also wouldn't be surprised that everything they improved in 2020 will also be in 2024.

I appreciate your positivity and balanced views.  I'm actually starting to get excited about some of the potential role-playing aspects of 2024.  I'll bet there is more than a few of us who visit this site to pontificate while at cruise, as spending time at altitude in a tube liner in a flight sim is not that different from watching paint dry!  Let's face it we have to pretend there are actually consequences in this activity whereas in the RW that is not the case. To offset this reality I use A Pilot's Life which scores all my flights and adds some purpose and I love it.  I have the same psychology when I take my other Dreamliner out for a ride (2016 BMW R1200RT) I need to have some purpose beyond as I call it, "riding in circles".  Perhaps some of these roles new to me will add some variety to how I use the sim.

It does not. The provided lits puts even bigger questionmarks behind core sim issues not solved since release because they would have taken WAAAY less effort to do so. So, I would rather call this list a nice example of prioretizing bugs with a very, very specific approach. The only issue I have is that I do sometimes not at all agree with the priorities selected 😉

Adobo, now, simply need to re state that they are still committed to a universal sim to meet everyone's requirements. I have no doubt that they are but to release that trailer without an accompanying statement was crazy. It had me having kittens for a while! If I want to play a game I fire up something like TW3, not MSFS.

Hi Noel,

I think you have misread what I wrote. I wasn't referring to Asobo's MSFS 2020. I was referring to DOVETAIL GAMES when I said Dovetail wrongly assumed simmers wanted a prettier version of FSX. I have never, ever said that Asobo were doing such a thing with MSFS 2020. Your knee jerk reaction indicates that you utterly misunderstood my post. I said that DOVETAIL abandoned Flight Sim World because they assumed customers would be satisfied by a slightly updated version of FSX and early sales indicated that their decision was wrong. I NEVER said that MS or Asobo did the same thing with MSFS 2020 which is a fine sim apart from the continuing unfixed basic flaws. Please read my post again and I would be obliged if you could please withdraw your comments. Thank you.

If anybody could be painted in any manner,  it shouldn't be Asobo anyway but Microsoft which calls the shots. 

Then, once again  this franchise has always had an entertainment dimension. No shame here. It belongs to the FS franchise culture. 

Last, some of us have, over the months, been wondering whether the adaptation of the sim to the low-end Xbox was not a limitation factor. Again it would be wrong to accuse Asobo of anything here.
