My purchase will not be Day One. It will be Hour One -- probably from Kiribati.

My only concern is that I'll have to upgrade my MSFS2020 polo shirts. 🙂

I pre-ordered 2020 as soon as it was available on Steam. Will be doing the same here.

5700X3D

64GB DDR4-3600MHz

Gigabyte 4070 Super

Game installed on 980 PRO

Main display Gigabyte M27Q X 27" 1440p 240Hz

Yep - hopefully will have a new top of the range rig as well.  Bring it on!

Honestly, the £120 I paid for the deluxe premium, considering all the free updates versus the time I spend on the sim......is probably the best cash for value purchase I have EVER made.  Ok don't get me wrong I've spent a small fortune on payware airports and bought PMDG/Fenix etc but still....

100% same.

Keep the blue part on top...

For the gearheads: Ryzen 9800x3D | ASUS Rog Strix B650E-F | MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X | 64GB DDR5 6000Mhz RAM | NZXT Kraken x72 Cooler | EVGA 1000 PSU

Initially I was confused, a bit upset and felt a bit deceived. However after seeing what's planned and even things that are not yet announced, I've changed my stance and will be buying MSFS 2024 on release.

I have a little system I've been using for practically decades now in that for every £1 I spend on a game that equals 1 hour of fun, so if I buy a game on Steam for £30 as long as I go over 30 hours played then I've got my monies worth.

Needless to say MSFS is well beyond that and was within the first month easily enough, I'm a bit slack on some payware stuff though as I've bought stuff for the sake of it sometimes 😁

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

I’ll see what day one download speeds are like and adjust accordingly 😅

Living in this time zone though, there are usually some quiet spots during the day.

i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

Absolutely. Bring on careers, low level terrain detail, new physics. Looking forward to it.

My belief, correct or not, is that when the team started modifying the former codebase back in 2016? that their belief was to simply replace modules of the engine as needed to bring it up to their vision. Obviously they have run into shortcomings that limit what they want to do, and what they want to implement. A new engine is the proper method.

Kudos to them for making the decision, instead of trying to kludge their way forward.

That is a yes, if it is unclear from my post.

You must be in a permanent state of anxiety with cars, household goods, software etc being upgraded or new models appearing.

I'll purchase, unless hamburger is 12 USD per lb, and milk is 7.60 a qt.

likewise. I plan to get it long before that, on beta Day One.

as I did with MSFS 2020 beta, december 2019, I think 6 months before release?

I am currently in the planning phases of a serious new PC for flight simming. I'm certainly going to get this ASAP as I did for 2020. Hopefully get into the beta as well.

David, if it's Hour One, then it has to also be Day One. This is the kind of pickiness that aggravates my wife!
