Watermark question

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Since I've never bought the Academic version of P3d, I am unfamiliar with the "watermark" that I am hearing about.  I've always used the Pro version.  Exactly what does the watermark look like and is it a distraction in the sim itself.  The new pricing is attractive in the Personal version, and I would like to purchase that version if the watermark is not affecting the sim's realism.

Are we absolutely sure that the Personal version will have the watermark imbedded?

I’ve used academic versions for years. The watermark is in the top right corner.
on my 4k screen it is barely noticeable, but at a lower res it may stand out more.
it does not bother me as it is quite small and you just don’t really notice it.

If I can put up with the frame counter, a little watermark isn't going to bother me. I know ..... hides under rock

I too was concerned about the watermark showing on V6 personal.

However, when I checked a few minutes ago, the line saying that personal includes a watermark has been crossed out:

Does this mean LM has had second thoughts on this????

Wow, must have had 2nd thoughts on this - either that, or an administrative error.

I would love to believe that they read this forum and decided that we, their loyal customers, would appreciate its removal !!!

Nothing at all stopping you believing it. Go ahead, knock yourself out, as they say!

But you know deep down, that, that will never be the case.😉

My monitor is a 1080p, and no, I rarely notice it.

I'd say that AVSIM is pretty good barometer for Flight Sim developers.
